"This hotel needs a little work. Not horrible. Just a little run down. The room was pretty clean. No complaints there. Just the hall ways. Elevator reminds me of a shady apartment complex. Lots of rust. Paint wearing off etc. the oool and hot tub were okay. It’s a good location as you are right in The center of Marquette. Price was a little steep over $200. I’ve stayed at much nicer properties for less. That week was graduation weekend for the local university. NMU. So they could raise prices a bit. Nice restraint and bar on site. Very delicious food and drinks. Lots of unique choices. The whole staff was wonderful. I would stay here again if I need a place to rest my head."
"It’s still a great place to stay—goons clean and ample size, its historic structure and locations views over the city, harbor, Marquette Mountain. But the owner has let the exterior, lobby deteriorate, which is inexcusable and a shame. And the grand restaurant with its great breakfasts is gone, a vacant except for tables and chairs for meetings. So it’s once 4 to 5 Star charm gas fallen to 3-Star over all. "
"Great lodging. Clean. Comfortable beds. Especially liked everything in the room. Spacious. Walk in shower. Keuric coffee maker and pods. Small table and chairs. Ample lighting. Great breakfast. Would highly recommend this facilty."
"Nice spacious room. Carpet by chair needed cleaning but otherwise was well cared for. The bathroom set up was a little weird with soap mounted on wall by the door but the towel bar was on the opposite wall above the toilet. The room was comfortable and we both slept well. Good breakfast. Will stay here again!"
