"I have been coming to Hatteras Sands a couple of times a year for at least 5 years now; first in my RV, now in the cabins. Not sure I want to talk it up too much because it's my happy place in Hatteras and I don't want to make it so popular that I can't get in when I want to. The units, grounds, and bathhouse are kept clean, the staff is helpful and friendly, No real shopping nearby - restaurants, places to buy seafood, a small grocery that also sells beer, a bakery, some shops by the ferry - but that's not why I go there, anyhow. The other people there are generally respectful of quiet time; many of them fish while they are there, so they are out early in the morning and in bed early at night. I expect I will continue to stay there for as long as I am able to get there. A+++"
