"The room was very clean and the location was great! "

"It's fine, actually. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews of this place. We had no issues whatsoever. Never felt "unsafe" or anything remotely like it. Check In They were nice and friendly and the process took less than five minutes. Room Completely clean when we checked in. Beds were comfortable. Climate control was working fine. TV had plenty of channels. No fridge or microwave, but it did have a coffee maker with two coffee pods. Bathroom Everything worked and was clean. Hot water was hot. I appreciate having a tub instead of just a shower when traveling with kids. Location Great. Next to a subway stop right on Broadway. Convenient to Central Park. They don't do parking so nothing to say about that. Overall I'm not sure what people's expectations are when they book this place that leads them to write such negative reviews. It's the cheapest option in the area by far. Everything about it was totally fine. It's not a luxury resort nor claims to be. There's plenty to do in Manhattan outside of your hotel room so I'm not sure why that's an issue. There's so little affordable accomodation in the area that I'm glad this place exists. Will probably stay there again if we visit upper Manhattan."

"Nice hotel "

"This is our second stay at Hotel Edison. This is an honest review, which may seem contrary to the number of stars given. There were way more positives than negatives, but the negatives were worth noting. Our first room (Sept 2025) was a 2 bed, very comfortable, spacious room with a mini fridge, extra seating and good sized bathroom. The bad; This stay we had a king room which was tiny, had a tiny bathroom, very little floor space and only a desk chair for extra seating. This was a challenge bc we are a mom and 16 year old. Very hard to have any privacy. If one of us needed privacy, the other had to go to the lobby. There was also no mini fridge. We didn’t spend much time in the room, so it wasn’t a huge deal. However, a mini fridge would’ve been nice for leftovers. We wasted a lot of really great food. The Edison provided luke-warm water bottles. We kept our ice bucket loaded up to have tiny cups of ice water. You can’t put the large ice in a bottle to take with you, so we had to buy water out. We were given a bottle of white wine bc of our booking agent, also room temp so it went unused. The first bedstead had a rip in it and some of the towels had frayed edges, which was not in keeping with the overall class and atmosphere of the hotel. Overall, it felt like we were given a room created as an after thought in a space left over. So, what was good? "

"Jackie set the tone at the front desk. She was helpful and friendly, as was everyone we met here! No complaints for this girls trip!!!"

"WE DID NOT GET A CHANCE TO USE HOTEL FACILTIES. THIS WAS A QUICK SHOPPING TRIP FOR THE WEEKEND. THE HOTEL IS ABOVE EXPECTATIONS AND WE WERE GREETED WARMLY AND THE LOCATION WAS SPOT ON FOR WHAT WE NEEDED THIS TRIP. WE PLAN TO REVISIT FOR A LONGER STAY."

"Checked in with Lilly and she was delightful. We had great service in the open Dining on the 8th floor. Michael at the M Club was so helpful and pleasant, and the room was great. We also liked our view. We came last year at the same time and it was great, also. We will see you again. "
