"This is a very traditional hotel. The only negative is the lack of a lift but staff were more than happy to carry bags to rooms. The hotel has a lovely history and is still run by the family who built it over 100 years ago. Much of the original decor is preserved and respected amongst updated amenities. Dinner at the restaurant (there are not many, if any, convenient, local alternatives) was fancy and exceptional. It's location cannot be beaten and a walk around the waterfall is a must. For those with mobility issues, the waterfall has convenient viewing platforms accessible from the hotel car-park."

"The staff was amazing. We had to leave very early in the morning and would not be able to enjoy the breakfast. They left a note on our door saying that they put a breakfast in the fridge at the reception desk which we found and enjoyed every bite. This was so thoughtful and totally made our stay so enjoyable. Thank you "
