"We stayed for five nights in the small cabin at the beautiful Glamping Vättervy. The cabin was very comfortable and the view on the trees through the big window in the back so nice! The Glamping itself was just perfect. Everything was built with so much love. You can walk around, pet the rabbits, relax on the outside sofas with view at the Vättern, eat fruits from the garden or watch the chickens. Hotel Gyllene Uttern

"The main building of the Gyllene Uttern looks like a Scandinavian castle. Perched high above Lake Vättern, it has a grand view of the lake, whether from a large terrace, one of its several lounging spaces, a glassed-in dining room, or from rooms facing the lake. It also has a baronial dining room, in which the very good breakfast buffet is laid out. We dined there in the evening, as well, and the food was excellent. We enjoyed comfortable suites overlooking the lake. The one disadvantage is that the old, castle-like hotel does not have an elevator, which made carrying up luggage a challenge, especially as we three couples were of ages 60 to 82. There was no indication of staff to assist with the luggage, which is the reason I gave "Staff & Service" 4 stars instead of 5. It has two newer two-story auxiliary buildings, which do have elevators. We have stayed in these before. The rooms are very comfortable, but not as charming as staying in a pseudo castle. "
