Gulf of Salerno hotel rooms a the Independent

"Very very happy with my stay. Breakfast was amazing. Staff was amazing. Room was amazing. Beautiful property. Shuttle to sorrento square was a very huge perk at this hotel. I have nothing bad to say at all and if I ever go back I will be staying here again and recommending this hotel to all my friends. Thank you for the amazing service and stay. "

"Grear room, excellent helpful staff. Servicing and cleaning of the room was exceptional. Location of the hotel could not be better. Well done to everyone. A couple of gripes though. The roof swimming pool does not open until June 1st. Disappointing for those that like cold water swimming. There is the sea of course but not really suitable close to the hotel. I thought the breakfast was disappointing. The fruit salad seemed to consist of only tinned peaches and lots of pineapple (even in the mixed fruit choice) There was only full fat (UHT) milk or soya (I think?) No skimmed or semi skimmed. The bread choice was disappointing. I cannot comment on the choice in the cooked breakfast as I (despite being British) do not eat them. The staff at breakfast were excellent and very attentive. Well done. Wouls I stay at the hotel again? Yes certainly."

"Lovely hotel with some stand out features; lobby and roof cocktail bars, pool area, lovely refurbished rooms and very friendly staff However, shower was weak and luke warm no complimentary water in rooms and you have to pay once you have used your 5 coffee pods ( not great for 2 people for 4 nights)! Overall though this a great hotel and would be happy to return. "

"Perfect location not far from the train station. We used the hotel as a hub for visiting Naples, Pompei and Sorrento. Hotel was excellent, breakfast was great would highly recommend booking this as there was a lot of choice. The rooms are spacious, clean and modern. There is an excellent gym that is has a lot of amenities which was also great for us. 10/10"

"Beautiful spot at the top of the mountain. Very peaceful, ideal for relaxing. The hotel offers a shuttle to the city center approximately every hour (Very convenient). A highlight: the restaurant staff was outstanding! Highly recommended."

"Absolutely wonderful stay. Hotel is beautifully restored. Location was great…a short walk to the action. Only downside was they did not have an elevator down to the beach as was advertised. Staff was helpful and lovely. "

"Excellent service the moment you walk in, courteous and attentive to every need that you might have. Clean room, and quiet at night. Breakfast is just amazing and the staff is so helpful... while sitting at my table, I didn't have to get up for little things. My room was facing the amazing Positano beach, and it did not disappoint at all. Keep in mind that you would hear the noise of the beach, but once you close the doors is just fine."
