"The resort was family friendly. The resort had direct access to the beach. We frequented the heated pool during our stay. The other pools were a little chilly yet. The bar hours were limited and drinks were fairly pricey. There was only one restaurant option on site. Staff were very friendly. We had the pool view room, which had a balcony that was great to hang stuff out to dry. The wristband key card was nice to have instead of needing to carry a room card around. Overall, would recommend the resort . "
"First of all there is no gift shop in this hotel! The staff was rude and not considerate to an issue that took place at 12:20 am. Secondly the hotel needs a big upgrade like the bathroom tub was The only thing good was the pool was heated but everything else is a big disappointment.Sorry but not sorry I don’t recommend this hotel at all! 6/10 Okay
"My suit was large but needs major upgrades. They need to remove the carpet in the rooms and update everything. Ripped couches, the shower was stained, toilet flushes slow. Sink drains slow. Appliances are getting old but whatever. Even the balcony exterior looks old and needs updating. It wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t wow and it you like a luxury feel like me then this might not be the place for you. It’s mid lol if they update the heck out of it I’ll be back if not I’m parting ways. Staff was really good and so was house keeping but the owner really needs to invest in his property. Also why is there no Jacuzzi outside? Pool was a little dirty at the bottom and all the tanning chairs were torn up. "
"The Westin is the perfect place to stay! From the location in French Quarters to the comfort in the room, you will not be disappointed with what the Westin has to offer.
I will say that the food options are limited and does not give a wide variety of choices, including the breakfast buffet (same food choices daily), but overall, if you want to be in the heart of French Quarters, this is an ideal location.
Not to the mention, this hotel sits directly inside the mall- Canal Place- take the elevator down into Saks 5th Ave and other luxury shopping stores for your convenience.
I will definitely consider staying at The Westin again while visiting New Orleans. "
"This property needs TLC the furniture in room was old and falling apart. The beds were neat and clean.
You have to pay to use the beach chairs and umbrellas on the beach…
The pool was nice."
"The property is being renovated so there are very limited amenities. The staff are super helpful, friendly and professional. We stayed in a building adjacent to the building where the reception is. The building was old and obviously in need of an upgrade but room and bathroom were clean. Location on the River Walk is super."
