Gulf Coast hotel rooms a the Starwood Capital

"This resort was beautiful. Its unfortunate that beach renourishment was going on during our stay but that didn't make us enjoy our stay any less. The pool, views, rooms, staff and location were perfect. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay in Pensacola Beach."

"The location was fantastic; you can walk to pretty much anything if you want to. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The first room we received was in poor condition and had several issues (plugs didn't work, fridge went out, bedside table missing, blind broken). We notified the front desk the next day and we were moved to what appeared to be a much nicer (updated) room. Once we moved rooms, we didn't really have any other issues, except that they sink in the new room wouldn't drain. It wasn't a huge issue for us, though, because we were staying a very short time, so we didn't report it. The hotel is older, so I didn't expect it to be pristine, and overall, for the price and location, it was a great place for a short beach getaway."

"The property is desperately in need of a renovation and upgrades. The rooms are not well maintained. Our room had two large windows. One of the windows had blackening curtains (one side was falling down). The second window was only covered by sheer (see-through) curtains. We weren't thrilled to have the sun shining through every day. Also, the room was cleaned very oddly. In one case, our bed was made up but they (forgot??) didn't leave clean towels. When we called the desk for fresh towels, we were told that someone would bring them up. We were running late for a scheduled tour after we waited almost an hour for towels. The Lobby does not have a restroom. It's terribly inconvenient to have to go all of the way to your room. The only on site restaurant has a very limited breakfast menu. They have a problem with locals loitering just outside the entrance. They are understaffed. I would NEVER stay here again and would NEVER recommend this hotel. Crown Plaza should be ashamed to ahve thier name associated with this "low rent" atrocity."

"The lobby smelt like weed and there was one person working the desk during check in with a long line of people waiting. The breakfast wasn't free like we were told. The Valet regularly blocked out ability to get into the parking garage. "

"Staff members are friendly and responsive. The elevators have long needed refurbishing. They are in poor condition and have a terrible smell. Rooms themselves are clean and comfortable."
