"The studio is in the heart of a typical Mexican neighborhood. In the afternoon and evening, the room tends to get hot since it doesn't have air conditioning. The fan isn't usually enough to cool the room. There are no changes of towels or linens between your stay."

"Great hotel great views although the new rooftop staff is rude inconsiderate and just forget else that you have exist. We waited 45 minutes to get our check to leave after waiting to even be served a drink. We even tried to give it a second chance and it was worse the second time. The downstairs bar/lobby has amazing attentive and friendly staff. I recommend the RIU just avoid the new rooftop. "
"Stayed here for two nights a couple weeks ago. Chose Hotel Velvet based upon a recommendation. Very clean, upscale, quiet, accommodating. In a nice area of the city. Staff were charming and professional. Comfortable beds. It's sort of expensive but I honestly feel like the hotel could he charging higher room rates. I'll likely stay here again next trip to Guadalajara. "
