"Not near the Danube but a 30 minute walk. Felt safe walking in Budapest. Hotel is also 30 minute walk to Heroes Square. The square in in City Park and adjoins the zoo. Hotel staff always friendly and helpful and good English language skills are obviously required. Nice breakfast buffet in morning. Good dinner menu. Excellent food service."

"Nice hotel. Not as close to centre as I thought, but down a quiet street, which felt safe. The room was nice, but the lighting was terrible. No centre light. Just lamps which did not provide enough light to put make up on. Beds were comfortable. Shower room was a good size, but there are no surfaces to put things down, apart from the floor. Did enjoy the stay. Breakfast was good. Staff were helpful. Property is in very good order. Didn’t use the gym equipment in the garden room, or the sauna, which wasn’t switched on."

"The Movenpick is well-located in the magnificent, beautiful and brilliant city of Budapest. I’d firstly like to say a huge thank you to the staff for a wonderful stay. The tram and metro station are very closeby (pro tip: be VERY CAREFUL with your tickets), but if you want to walk to the many attractions and sites in Budapest - I walked 65km in 2.5 days - the strolls through the city are lovely, especially if you have great weather like I did. Budapest’s architecture is simply astonishing. As for the hotel, it has a pretty lobby area which is very welcoming and is modern and well-decorated. - The staff: All staff were superb; helpful, polite and friendly. Delightful. - Housekeeping: Terrific - every day. - The room: Spacious and quiet. The bathroom is amazing. The main room is very nice, and the bed is comfortable. The rooms may need refreshing soon, but they’re clean and well-appointed. - Breakfast: Lots of fresh options for a vegan like me. The grilled veggies are delicious! - Gym: Not brilliant. Just dumbbells up to 10kg, a bench, a spin bike that needs servicing and a treadmill. There’s a small stretch area. As a PT and spin class instructor I’m fussy and I know it’s a small space; but I think a few more free weights would really help. However, with some creativity I had some great workouts so this isn’t a criticism. Overall, the Movenpick fully deserves its four stars and is well worth recommending if you visit this stunning city. Excellent."

All staff were warm, friendly, personable and always helpful. The suite was immaculate, the food excellent and the gym well maintained with updated equipment. It was perfect and one really can’t improve on that."
