"Location was great really close to V&A waterfront staff were very friendly & helpful. Food at hotel & breakfast was good plenty of choice. Outdoor area on 2nd floor was good. Only recommendadtion would be to have an outside seating area on ground floor would be ideal."

"Breakfast was good, room comfortable. One day we were without hot water and were offered to go to the sister hotel for a shower if required. We were told that the hot water was back on later in the day but when we came to have a shower, there was none coming through. I rang reception and was told that the maintenance would be right there. I ran the hot water taps in the bathroom basins on full for 15 minutes no hot water so I rang again to be told to hold on while they checked with maintenance. I was cut off and nobody rang back so I went down to reception and while there, they rang maintenance who told them that they would be right there. 15 minutes later I went down again and asked what was going on and after they found where maintenance were working, they sent a porter to get them to go to our room. He did turn up and told us that we needed to turn the shower and bath and basins on hot fully open. We got hot water. Wouldn’t it have been easier for the maintenance to tell reception this. I asked for a complaint form but was told that they would tell the manager. We got no call from the manager at all and we were staying for another two days. By the time we got the hot water we had missed our reservation time at the restaurant. "

"The hotel is definitely showing signs oif the need for a refurb. Tired flooring in bar and restaurant, ridiculously noisy AC units, doors to balcony need updating as do the bathrooms. Staff were generally excellent and breakfast selection was good. I stayed in a 6th floor Deluxe Executive room but overall I felt I was paying for the location rather than any other luxuries."

"Super breakfast, good variety of food. The staff were great, they went out of their way to serve us. Always smiling and happy. The rooms were ok, the carpets looked a bit tired, but overall it was a lovely room. The best thing about it was it was walking distance from the V&A waterfront, the best area for walking, eating and going for trips. "

"We recently stayed 5 nights at this beautiful hotel in the heart of the City and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. From the time we checked in to the time we checked out we were treated like royalty and every whim was dealt with quickly and efficiently. Our beautiful rooms had excellent views of Table Mountain and two restaurants on site offered excellent food options, with the Bombay Brasserie a must visit. The bar too is an excellent place to unwind after a long day. I can’t say enough about the staff …..everyone from the front desk, concierge, doormen, bar & restaurant staff always had smiles on their faces and were eager to please. We have stayed here before and will certainly do so again. "

"Great location. Nice views. Not soundproof (as advertised). Corridors too hot. Rooms are big and have 2 separate showers & toilets! Comfortable stay."
