The Lodge at Jackson Hole

"The housekeeping was limited to two days per week. For such an expensive place I’d like to have had the room at least tidied up a bit each day. If you ran out of towels you had to go to the desk to retrieve more. The staff at certain times was less than helpful. I asked for help with the local bus schedule and the desk clerk sent me out to the bus stop where there wasn’t an actual schedule. Then a passenger on the bus said i should ask the clerk to simply print a schedule for me. So i went back in and told her that the schedule was not at the bus stop as she had said. Could she please print one for me, which she did, reluctantly. I don’t understand why she just didn’t do it at the beginning of the encounter. Another time i ask the front desk clerk where i would find a particular coffee shop that was supposed to be within walking distance and she told me to google it. The breakfast was exactly the same every day but pretty good for $5. But i didn’t want to eat the same thing day after day so only ate there twice during my stay."

"We enjoyed our stay here. This is a family owned motel, which we prefer. The rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable, and they all overlook a wildlife refuge. The motel is one of the closest to Grand Tetons National Park, which allowed us to avoid traffic in Jackson. There’s a gas station next door with a convenience store that has good coffee. Close enough to Jackson for us to get groceries and find restaurants, but much quieter and less touristy. Patty had good suggestions for wildlife viewing and nearby food options. They really care about their guests’ satisfaction and respond quickly to any issues. I would definitely recommend this motel and would happily go back."
