Amazing location for 2 kids and 2 adults! Breakfast included with stay and it was yummy! Walking distances from shops and restaurants in Grondelwald but also right next to a bus stop to take you into town and further down. Highly recommend this hotel!

Check in was great and the staff were all extremely friendly and responsive. The room was amazing with a beautiful view.
Very clean & well organized hotel w/ Japanese themes, excellent friendly & helpful staff (Petra & Antonio!), we stayed in Yuma suite with our daughter, perfect as we each had our own rooms in separate areas. Coffee & tea provided, hotel’s Umami Japanese restaurant was excellent, bus line 121 pickup/dropoff right outside hotel entrance. Loved our stay here, you will too (and the free breakfast is to die for (excellent).
Its up the strip. The entire riom and hotwl decore is very nice. Breakfast was modest. Overall fair, but for the price you can probably get something better either up in the mountains or up the hill.
We love staying here, everything is so lovely and clean. The mountain view from the room was outstanding. The breakfast was fantastic, we really enjoyed it. We visited the Umami restaurant located inside the hotel, and the food was terrific. The bus station is located in front of the hotel, making it very convenient. If you prefer, walking to restaurants and stores takes around 20 minutes. You will enjoy the view
Clean, cosy, pretty. Location is a little away from center but worth it for peacefulness away from hustle and bustle. Very noce staff. Woukd definirely return. Good value.
We had a very pleasant stay overall. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the service was excellent. The property was kept in very clean condition, and we appreciated the included breakfast, which was a nice start to each day.
That said, the location was a bit inconvenient — it’s about a 22-minute walk from the station, and the last bus up stops at 7:00 pm, which made getting back later in the evening difficult. We also noticed that the soundproofing could be improved, as we could often hear footsteps from the room above us.
If you don’t mind the walk or plan your evenings accordingly, it’s a great place to stay with wonderful staff and very good cleanliness.
I would highly recommend this hotel. Place was really clean and cozy to stay. The breakfast is worth it, it has really good variety. Also dinner at the japanese is very good. The room was very comfortable and had a nice view of the mountains. Bathroom was very clean and had a japanese bidet (iykyk).
I would only just be careful of the location, it is a 25 min walk from station (most of it uphill). There is a bus that goes to the hotel every 30 mins but it stops after 6:45 pm, we had to walk with our luggage at night which wasnt ideal. The town feels pretty safe, so it was just a small inconvience, other days were pretty easy to go back and forth.
Overall very satisfied, I definitely would return here.
Our stay at Grindellodge was simply wonderful! The location is perfect – just a short walk from anywhere, yet tucked away in a peaceful area with breathtaking views of the Eiger.
The suite was spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed and cozy bedding. Every detail reflected comfort and Swiss precision.
The hosts were incredibly kind, responsive, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. The check-in process was smooth and hassle-free.
Waking up to the mountain views from our balcony each morning was a highlight of our trip. It felt like a perfect base for exploring Grindelwald, First, Lauterbrunnen, and beyond.
Highly recommend for couples, families, or anyone looking to soak in the charm of the Swiss Alps!
Thank you, Grindellodge – we’ll definitely be back! ❤️
This place was fantastic. We had a beautiful view from our hotel balcony and the hotel is situated just a fifteen minute walk from the town centre, which worked out really well in the end as this was a more peaceful and picturesque location for the hotel. We felt very calm and at peace here. The hotel itself has been recently refurbished and the interiors were of a very high standard and were super clean. The staff were really really friendly and helpful, especially Dani at reception. Also, we found it really useful having free access to the washing machine, tumble dryer and iron downstairs where they also provide free detergent and fabric softener. I'd recommend this place to anyone and would be more than happy to come back. Five stars from me.
Favorite place we stayed at while traveling in Switzerland. Incredible staff, amazing rooms, and convenient location. The shuttle service offered was something we didn’t know we needed but was sooo thankful to have. We really appreciate the front desk staff for all their help

Lovely 3 night stay at Grindellodge. Room size was cozy, but well designed and absolutely spotless each day. Staff went out their way to support us with any request we had, and could tell there was genuine care in how they looked after you - completely putting UK hospitality to shame. Breakfast was high quality fresh ingredients. Would absolutely recommend.
The bedroom and the hotel was so clean and fresh. The view of the Eiger from our bedroom was amazing and I never tired of seeing it. Staff were friendly but not intrusive. The hotel had a calm feel. Located slightly outside the town meant that it was a peaceful setting while still being close enough to facilities. I would certainty book to stay at Grindellodge again in I was holidaying in the area.
Muy bonito , limpieza 10/10 , la
Vista increíble !
Lo único q no me agradó fue que tienes que pagar en el hotel , expedía no hace el cobro . Y en el hotel cuesta más que lo que dice expedía .
