"We spent two weeks traveling New England. Focusing on VT, Maine & RI. 5 days were spent at the Mad River Lodge. Although all the places we stayed were all very nice - none of them left us with the feeling of home away from home like MRL did. The main lobby and opportunity to meet other travellers was very enjoyable. The whole place felt peaceful and homey and would absolutely stay there again."

"Beautiful Hotel right in the heart of downtown Montpellier.its right around the corner from the Montpelier bus station so makes for a lovely overnight or weekend getaway from Boston. The room was cozy and there is a wonderful restaurant on premises "

"We get together with our high school friends once, maybe twice a year., since 1979. A city couple and a country couple. Your Lodge was perfect, we had our own rooms, a gas fireplace living room aith a leather couch, another room was well-lighted, free coffee and tea, snacks available. It's an open floor plaln with game tables, puzzles, backgammon, cards, etc. VERY COMFORTABLE. We relaxed in the AM with 'Warren Store Breakfast Bagel Sandwich (don't miss out) - it's a nice slow start. The we went for Afternoon Rides with either Lunch or Dinner. Then back to the Lodge to Relax. The Staff was 'the best'. fun to talk to and loving their jobs. --- 'Don't Miss Out' - GO! "

"It was amazing to stay at this farm that was built in the 1760's. We loved the exposed beams in our room. The owner was vety friendly. The breakfast was great. We liked the location near Stowe."

The fridge was well-stocked for late night snacks as well. Can’t say enough of how wonderful it was-convenient to all we wanted to do, but tucked away. Thank you! Will definitely stay again!"
