"I adored the unit I was placed into. The art and eccentric display of furnishings was fun and cozy! I only got to stay one night based on my plans, but I truly wish I could have stayed longer. The property is gorgeous, clean, and well-kept."

"Well - I am a traveler that doesn't seam to read any instructions etc..... so drove up, never checked my email before and did what I was meant to.... but these ppl are so kind, they did all my check in even thought it was 9.45pm at night !!... got me the code to the door and checked on my needs like if I needed or knew where food was, travel plans or help on them for the following day, etc etc. The house/apartment/motel was so nice - super clean, bedding clean, updated and brand new bathrooms, such a nice place for us. It was just what we needed - only there for one night because it was a traveling business trip and so took my family and all 5 of us were so glad to have gotten this location, place etc. Well worth it. Would for sure go back."

"The room was gorgeous in every detail, the owners have a great sense of style and they know how to create a comfortable experience. The location was great for convenience, shops and food in a nice little town, especially if you’re driving from Peggy’s Cove, stopping in Mahone Bay, then on to Lunenburg and beyond. The sauna was also a nice bonus. A friend of ours who lives in Halifax recommended we have dinner at Betty’s on the patio, and we were able to walk there in about three minutes from our cabin. The food and service and garden patio were delightful. Highly recommend Black Forest Cabins if you need a place to stay in Mahone Bay. The photos provided by the owners are accurate down to the small details."

"As other travellers have mentioned the current owners Rosalie and George have spent 5 years renovating this property. There are 3 rooms on the second floor, one has its own balcony. All the rooms provide excellent accommodation. The living room area is available for guests to use and spend time. The breakfast is second to own, all the dishes are made early in the morning as well as homemade scones and other treats. The owners are available to answers any questions about the area. I hope to make it back there one day and take advantage of their hospitality and their breakfast. We stayed at 7 places in our Maritime trip and this property was our favourite by far. Lunenburg is great community and Rosalie and George back it that much better."
