"Lovely stay "

"We cannot rate the Alkamuri Posh Hotel and Spa in Alcamo highly enough. We initially booked into the hotel so we could be close to our friend who had a medical emergency while vacationing with us from the U.K. Our friend was discharged from a hospital even though she basically couldn’t walk and had no other choice but to join us in our hotel room. She stayed with us for six days until she was taken by medivac back home to the U.K. Through it all, the hotel was kind, generous and understanding...

"Great property! Very gorgeous location and a comfortable room. 15 mins drive from Alcamo and an hour from Palermo. There’s no restaurant on site, you have to pay €90 to make sure a private chef cooks for you that day which is inconvenient. There is also no elevator on the property. The spa service was mediocre "

"After a week at a villa near the local beach, we just spent 2 unexpected extra nights at the Hotel Groticelli (due to cancelled flights home) and we all agreed it's a great place to stay, with amazing views, warm and helpful staff (receptionist helpfully speaks English), plenty to choose from at breakfast, and easy to access. The air-conditioned rooms have spacious terraces in front, and there is a pool (goes to 1.9m deep) for relaxing in, with outdoor showers etc. It's only 40min-drive along...

"We booked the hotel because there of the swimming pool… which is reserved to the wedding guests only. The available swimming pool is in a second hotel, 10min away by car! Clearly this is not communicated on the hotel description The hotel was nice, service was minimum"
