"Lovely place in a nice spot on the lake. The grand lobby and restaurant in the resort were wonderful with panoramic views of Kentucky Lake. The room i stayed in was spacious with very comfy beds, lots of pillows and good A/C! I enjoyed taking walks around the property. It was a bit of a commute to get to my lower level, lake view room but the weather was beautiful so it was fine. Id definitely return!"

"It was nice to see that the family who ran the hotel took great pride in running it. My room was very clean, the Halls were clean, and everyone was friendly. Two brothers and what I believe to be a sister or cousin. Very nice people. There is some foot traffic that goes by the hotel, but just like any high traffic area, don't make conversation, and there probably won't be a conversation. So I had no problems."

"My room had a balcony, giving a nice view of the river. The room appeared clean and well appointed. The breakfast as nice, but overpriced."

"It is an older property owned by the state of Kentucky, has not been updated, but it still had a charm. The old doors on each room, it was simple and very clean. Breakfast in the restaurant was fresh and prepared just as requested. So good. My waitress was the sweetest. I was at my daughter's wedding and the desk clerk called to see if I was still coming because it was so late. She was so welcoming. I heard some staff talking about how long it had been since they had gotten a raise. I felt so bad for them because each one I met gave their all to make my stay wonderful. They are the heart of the Kenlake and the as representatives of our state. They were a big part of my very restful stay for the mother of a bride. If you love simplicity, beautiful views, a good peaceful walk and friendliness, this is your place. Blessings!!!"

"There was construction going on around area but should be ok afterwords. Had a nonsmoking room but room had ash trays and cigarette burns on comforter on bed. "

"Priced right " b & b" type stay. Older Victorian house and decor. Hulu TV in the room and had a private bathroom/tub/ shower. Mile or so to the riverfront. "

"This hotel is a great stay. It is reasonably priced, convenient to the Interstate and eating places. We were just an overnight stay but the hotel was extremely clean. All staff were super friendly as well. "
