"Would highly recommend. Rustic room with extra sitting room, private balcony overlooking the river and palace of the Popes. Enjoyed walking around the old village, just down the hill from Maison Orisini. Host was wonderful providing maps and a tasty breakfast. We stayed 4 nights. No.5 Bus close by into main town of Avignon or 35mins walk."

"There are hotels, and there is La Verriere! The desceiption online does not give ita due to the place. We stayed for 2 nights but could probbaly have stayed for a week and enjoy. The best word to describe La Verriere is 'impeccable'. It is located at the Chene Bleu winery at a 9th centiry priory. The hotel part of the estate offers a lovely garden, an infinity pool, a hot tub, and a small gym. There is also a summer kitchen with coffee, tea, some sweets and refrigirators. "I loved the location, right across the street from the old city. There was a grocery store next door, very convenient. The property seems to be student residences as well as hotel and has laundry facilities, safe bicycle storage, recycling, an exercise room and breakfast for an extra fee, which we didn't do. The bed was comfy, the kitchen was fine, the shower was great, the room was very spacious, but with a characterless, unadorned feel. Still, over all, good value. "
