"Tesis fotoğraflarda gösterildiği kadar yeni ve konforlu değil. Odalar sigara kokuyor. Havlular eski. Banyoda su az akıyor. Sabah 10:00’a kadar olan kahvaltıyı 09:40 restoranda olmamıza rağmen toplanmış bulduk. Bize tabak ile kahvaltı servisi yapıldı. Sezon ortası bina içinde ve dışında tadilat yapılması otelin ne kadar kötü yönetildiğinin göstergesi. Zaten 1 ay sonra sezon kapanmasından dolayı misafir sayısı minimuma inecektir. "This hotel is easy walking distance to the main shops and transportation to Ani, as well as the Kars Castle and the train station. It also had surprisingly fast wifi, and a nice breakfast spread! The staff doesn't speak much (if any) English, and people were smoking in the main lobby (and rooms), but all in all I enjoyed my stay. "

"i would say it’s a god value of money for a short day in Kars. The location is not bad, about 15minutes walk to the castle and less than 5 mins to the main street where you can find lot of shops and food. The manager Suat is a friendly and funny man, although he can’t speak English. Google translate would solve the communication problem. "

Kars is a must visit city as it’s full of charm and history. Our stay at the hotel added to the pure enjoyment of this special city. "

"We loved Deniz and her many dogs. She is a wonderful host, so caring and eager to help. Her property is unique and very comfortable. You really feel like you are a treasured guest in her home. Deniz is always available to help and answer questions. She will arrange transportation to nearby sights as well. The breakfast is great too. Everything cooked to order."

A great stay

"Perfect stay. I loved everything about Kars Oteli. The building is one of the few remaining old Russian mansions in Kars, my room was spacious and comfortable with a wonderful long outside balcony. The bed was superb. The room had a fridge, kettle and coffee machine, also a cafetière. A good breakfast. Most of all Metin Bey was excellent, he found me a Turkish tour (museums, Ani, lake çıldır) for the next day, and helped with every query. He kindly packed me a good breakfast for the doğu ekspresi - lucky as there's no food on the train (only on the tourist one). I highly recommend staying here. "

"Katerina sarayı definitely exceeds expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay in the beautiful city of Kars. An iconic hotel thoughtfully decorated A perfect balance of comfort and hospitality! All of the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and at home. I don’t remember the name of each one of them but they were all professional and nice always ready to help and assist. Miss Melisa, Ebru and Mr Erhan were extremely helpful with everything! Oh not to forget the breakfast was so delicious! What truly sets Katerina Sarayi apart for me is Niko (the cat) and the outstanding service! I may have repeatedly emphasized on the service and hospitality but having stayed in many different hotels around the world I’ve never came across such a beautiful team! Looking forward to go back! Heartfelt Thank you to everyone! "
