"Mixed experience. The room was a good size, the pool area was pleasant and never felt overcrowded, and the gym was modern and well equipped. Breakfast also offered a wide choice, and staff throughout the hotel were generally polite and welcoming. What let it down was the overall standard of service. Check-in felt unpolished and slightly disjointed — we weren’t given basic practical information such as breakfast times, where breakfast was served, or the opening hours for the pool and gym. The breakfast room was very busy and we had to find a table ourselves, which felt out of step with what you would expect from a hotel at this level. The bedroom itself had a noticeable stale smell that was difficult to shift given the windows cannot be opened. We also experienced intermittent issues with the Wi-Fi, which was frustrating. So overall, disappointing, particularly compared to other Shangri-la hotels. What I would say was that we provided this feeeback directly to the hotel and the GM personally acknowledged the issues which was appreciated from a customer service perspective. "

"The first thing I noticed was the courteous and ready to help staff, Taj has large tree covered property with both ocean and city views. I used the buffets styled restaurant offering international food and with more Indian themed food choices. (not surpised there since Taj is an Indian hotel company and at my visit, majority of guest were Indians. "

Beach club free shuttles ..fabulous turtle hatchery there .Wonderful seafood platter for 2 ...A$33.. Marino Mall attached cheap food, ice creams, souvenirs ,entertainment virtual reality games centre & 9D cinema.. Staff ...fabulous! This is a great hotel offers so much to everyone ! Plus a gift of teas from their plantation on check out ."

"We spent 2 nights here. Firstly the interior of the building is simply stunning. High ceilings, large windows, lots of open space and seating, plants and tastefully decorated. Our room was also well appointed with a large comfortable bed, wardrobe and air conditioning. The bathroom had a lovely shower and high quality toiletries. The bedding and towels were also high quality. There is no kettle in the room, but Bosco kindly provided us with hot water when I asked for it. The hotel is situated along a side road and in a less busy part of town so is quiet at night but just a short tuk tuk ride away from the centre and train station. There is a 24/7 supermarket and bakery on the main road just 5 minutes walk away"

"horrible unprofessional services, first day breakfast area no staff turn up, next day they argue with me how to make coffee, room facity not even catered for hotel guest, dont even have a stand for luggagues , forgot this forgot that, forgot to make up room, forgot to put water in room....felt like a bunch of imature kids runing the hotel"
