Top Golden Isles of Georgia Hotel Reviews

Wingate by Wyndham Brunswick GA / I-95
4/10 Poor
"Our room smelled bad. Moved us to another room which was dilapidated and dirty. We were tired and decided to stay sleep and get out early. Unfortunately, not a pleasant stay. Front desk was helpful in immediately moving us to a new room but other than that this hotel needs some work."

Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Jekyll Island
6/10 Okay
"Although the room was clean, it was very old and dated. It felt like I was living in the 1970s again. Bathroom in the king room only had a tub and toilet. The sink was in the room. The ac blown straight onto the bed causing me to have a stiff neck. Luggage holders were rusty. Beach access was awful. Huge pile of sand on top of the walkway. I mean around 5 feet or more. Dangerous to walk over to get to the beach. Definitely an accident fixing to happen. For the price, it really could've been much better."

The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort
6/10 Okay
"This was our first visit, and overall the property and staff were lovely—aside from a very confused concierge upon arrival. Our disappointment was more about the disconnect between the price point and the actual amenities and experience provided. The pool service was especially underwhelming. The staff seemed to be doing their best, but it was clearly understaffed. While the cocktails were decent, the food was unfortunately terrible. We ended up Doordashing lunch each day. Since the once-open pool bar is now closed and there are no outdoor self-service options, guests are entirely dependent on poolside service—which currently needs significant improvement. Our biggest frustration as a family with small children was the lack of convenient beach access. We heard there had been various unsuccessful attempts over the years to keep non-guests away from the private pool area, but being told that a 200-yard walk (through the outdoor restaurant patio!) was the “easy” beach access felt dismissive and honestly pushed us over the edge. At roughly $700 per night, we expected far better poolside amenities, including enough chairs for guests and more accessible beach access. An entire week in Panama City Beach costs our family the same amount and we enjoy ourselves more. Unfortunately, because of these issues, we will not be returning."

Ocean Inn and Suites
8/10 Good
"Great location! Close enough to walk to everything in village. Great balcony. Covered parking and elevator. Strange furniture placement. Would be nice if updated and renovated but good overall."

Home2 Suites by Hilton Jekyll Island
10/10 Excellent
"As always a good stay for the price"

Holiday Inn Resort Jekyll Island by IHG
2/10 Terrible
"Found 5 bugs in my room. There were hairs in the bathroom that were not mine. They have an outside bar but would not open the windows so you could sit there. I had to go off site for dinner and drinks with my dog and that was not the plan at all, Island is beautiful but this hotel is not, Would not stay here again. I expect more from holiday inn."
