The Royal Hotel

8/10 Good

"We thought the room was lovely. Well decorated with lots of nice touches. The two staff I spoke to were polite and helpful. Our room had a lovely view of the beach. The parking was quite easy in the multi store in the precinct. The room was clean but could do with a few finishing touches, like for example a hole in the floor which had been filled in but not finished off properly. The bathroom needs a blind at the window. The shower gel bottle in the bathroom was empty. Didn’t have breakfast so cannot comment on that."

Grand Hotel Scarborough

"Wonderful stay at the Grand Hotel. We visited the area to go to a music event. We chose the Grand as have always admired the beautiful building. On arrival check in was quick and staff smart, helpful and caring. Room clean and comfortable. Although we only stayed one night the following morning we were able to use the communal areas within the hotel. The beach view from the terrace and restaurant are fantastic. Lots of space to either be alone and enjoy or chat amongst other guests if you are a social person. Cleaning happening all the time through hotel and staff friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back"

Royal Whitby

10/10 Excellent

"Parking in the hotel car park was almost impossible unless you have pre booked at a cost of £8 a night in a reserved space. The hotel is undergoing extensive renovation which inevitably involves some scaffolding on part of the outside and the ballroom is nearing completion. These things caused little inconvenience as we enjoyed a lovely de luxe room with a fabulous view over the harbour. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Overall we enjoyed a lovely short break and will be returning"

"We had the small twin room very clean , no views as windows were covered and wouldn’t open they were alarmed … and the air con unit was quite noisy it kept going on and off .when customers who had surging switched it on and off . It didn’t spoil the stay for us , but just for information. Staff were excellent location good parking good 10 /15 minute walk down to the front . Bus to south side …"
