Rodostamo Hotel & Spa - Adults friendly
8/10 Good
"The only thing we would comment on is the food in the restaurants all the menus were the same and never seem to change. It might be because it was not peak season. The day pool bar menu was great. We felt some of that should have been incorporated into the evening menu. Also they could do with an ice cream freezer, just something to grab when you are around the pool."
"Beautiful hotel overlooking the sea in the old quarter of Corfu
Book a room with balcony as you can stand and watch the world go by
Lovely new bathroom with great shower"
"Great resort style hotel super staff and beautiful grounds and pools. Only critical point I can make is food options ok but menus not expansive and Greek food items very rare. Gym was good size and equipment in excellent condition. As a couple whose kids are all grown up we found the adults only options a bit limited. We went outside of school holidays but there were quite a lot of preschoolers. You might like that I'm not a fan"
"The service was great and the bar/ drink selection was amazing! We also enjoyed the selection of restaurants. The only complaint is about the housekeeping. We had to remind the housekeeping team to clean in the evening as it had not been done; the room was not cleaned properly sometimes. Other than that, we were really happy with the hotel and will certainly come back again."
"Hotel and rooms were exceptionally clean, bed linen and towels changed daily. Staff were pleasant and very helpful, we arrived late and the kitchen was closed but the nightshift receptionist made us toasties which was most welcome. The breakfast was a buffet style self service and there was plenty to choose from. The beach was literally a stones throw from the hotel door and you could drift off to sleep listening to the sound of the crashing waves. You will need transport to get around, the nearest town is Pelekas which is about 5 kms away, as the location is quite remote which is ideal if you want tranquility as there is no through traffic or disco noise. Taxis can be expensive as they have to come from Corfu Town. The road down to the hotel is quite steep so bring trainers or boots if you're wanting to walk up to the main drag. A bus runs 3 times a day from Glyfada to Corfu town passing Aqualand on route. You can get buses from The Corfu Town Green bus terminal to the airport and other locations on the island, check the Green Buses Corfu website for details. Bring a mosquito repellent plug-in thing."
"Great spot near the airport. Very convenient when you arrive on a late flight. Reception ladies are wonderful to talk with and very helpful. I was given a room on the 2nd floor (no elevator, no problem for me), facing the street. I thought it was going to be too loud and noisy. Nope. The traffic goes away around 10-11p and the shudders along with soundproofed windows helped me sleep deeply. Slept so well, I didn't have a chance to try breakfast. AC worked well and total blackout from the sun for sleep."
"A very pleasant hotel with happy, friendly staff, especially my chambermaid. I had a main building, sea view room. Nice view with plenty of storage. Thought bathroom was a bit basic. Shower floor tiles are slippery but hotel does provide a shower mat. Sink was a bit ‘contemporary’ in design as it was self draining (no plug) so was difficult to rinse through items like swimming costumes.
Breakfast in main restaurant provided a good selection. I have never seen such a big block of fresh butter from which you can carve out a portion!
Buffet dinner selection was also good.
No need for anyone to rush down at 6 am to reserve a sunbed as there are plenty around the site - beach, pool, garden and on a jetty.
There is a large beach and a smaller ‘quiet’ beach. Coarse sand with some gravelly areas but walkable bare foot.
There is a water sports area on site in a small harbour type area with speedboats and jet skis. It was very quiet during my visit but during the high summer months I expect it would get quite noisy.
Not sure this hotel would suit someone with mobility issues as it is quite a few slopes and lots of steps."
"The hotel has been refurbished as is nice in some areas, we had a nice room but no kettle in the room just a coffee machine, we were only there for 2 nights but nobody cleaned the room no even emptied the bin in the bathroom which should be done daily, the breakfast was cold but quite a bit if choice it was ok for the weekend i wouldn't want to stay for a week , nearest shop about a 6 minute walk , drinks in the bar expensive 43 euros for 2 drinks , we had a meal and 4 drinks in corfu town for 75 euros , i think thats why the bar was empty "
