"The staff were friendly and exceptionally helpful. We were able to get our parking pass before checking in and were even granted permission to remain parked there after checking out (until 4PM) so that we could explore the area. The room was clean, cozy and quiet. No spooky revelations were made. Will definitely recommend and stay again."

"This hotel is a little gem! Clean, comfortable, friendly staff, great amenities, free airport shuttle. There is a teriffic Mexican restaurant, Hacienda, very nearby, that will deliver delicious authentic food. Highly recommend Avid."

"This was our ONE night to have a kid free relaxing night that we were so so excited for and saved up for. We can’t afford a vacation or get sitters for our kids longer term so we decided to pick a local hotel and spend the money for just a quiet night to spend some much needed one on one kid free time together. Well what a waste of money and a HUGE disappointment. We won’t get a chance to do this for a VERY long time and it was ruined. They booked up on a WEDDING floor. Not only that we had an attached room to a wedding guest that had a huge after party and they were up drinking, smoking, screaming, partying ALL NIGHT. Prior to the wedding we had a bunch of drunk people keep coming to our door and knocking and screaming disturbing us thinking we were probably apart of the wedding people considering we were surrounded by wedding guests. Our one special night out alone completely ruined by this. Again, we will not get a chance to do this again for a very long time. If you are going to book some one on a wedding party floor that needs to be known to the non wedding party guests. Extremely disappointed and upset. "

"The Hotel Salem is a quaint, modern, well styled hotel. The location is perfect for exploring Salem on foot. Having a little restaurant and bar onsite was an added bonus!"

"Pool was out of commission staff did not tell us about it as we checked in and there was no indication prior to booking online of the pool being closed by the city. We came from out of state and had a weekend stay for some family activities and in our schedule swimming was part of it due to not being able to swim we had a lot of down time with 2 kids 11& 12 who were looking forward to swimming. If i was to have known pool was out of commission i would not have booked. Room was clean beds were very uncomfortable pillows were flat there was some feces stains on bathroom wall light on bed were not all properly working barely any lighting in the room tv options are very little and it resets every so often bathroom vent doesn’t turn on and if so you dnt find where the switch is on top of paying $400 for the weekend you have to pay $20 a night for parking garage that is attached to the hotel or have the option to park on the st and also have to pay for."
