"Five stars for old and charming. I've taught about the use of coaching inns in play production during the Tudor period. I'm from California, so it was very exciting to see one in person. I recommend the best room--the Oak. It's reasonably priced and will make you feel as if you are in a period movie. The New Inn is well located for seeing the Cathedral, which is unusually rich in history and warrants a guided tour. The bar carries a very good selection of beer."
"All was great for the price and the staff were really friendly. The staff warned us about the lift that was not working and even came to see if the room was ok which it was. The highlight was the walk along the river into the city and the breakfast from the place round the corner. We will stay again if in town."
"Lovely place to stay, staff were very helpful and placed was lovely and clean. Ate at Mollies diner and had a lovelyeal, staff also very helpful and brilliant service, would highly recommend"
"Our stay was amazing. The place was beautifully decorated, had everything that was needed and was very clean and comfortable. I wouldn’t hesitate staying here again"
"Rooms are clean and comfortable. Bathroom offers minimum amenities (1 bottle of body wash and shampoo), and for some reason there was no hot water in basin or shower in the morning! Breakfast ordered from menu, so it's freshly made. Although difficult to contact/get response via email initially, staff were helpful in returning lost property item to me which was much appreciated! Would recommend staying here if in area"
"Had a wonderful stay at Tortworth Court. Room was upgraded to a junior suite due to 2 big events happening while we were there & new room was quieter.
We enjoyed the events that were on while we were there. Enjoyed dinner in the restaurant Sunday evening."
"We stayed one night, good location, nice food/beer garden, good food and drinks, staff was friendly and helpful. We were unlucky that the Wi-Fi and tv didn’t work, not from lack of trying by the staff, they fixed it, and 10 minutes later, stopped working. I would definitely recommend if you’re in the area."
