Top Glenegedale Hotel Reviews

The Island Bear B&B

The Island Bear B&B

10/10 Excellent
"Very recently fitted out accomodation in the heart of Bowmore just steps from a selection of restaurants, the distillery and public transport. On arrival the host talked us through the arrangements with an outstanding breakfast each morning at the nearby Harbour Inn overlooking the bay. Very high spec fitout of the spotlessly clean room and ensuite and a very comfortable bed. Bowmore is an ideal central location from which to visit and enjoy the island which has lots to offer in addition to the whiskies. Highly recommend."

Islay House

Islay House

8/10 Good
"The property definitely needs some updating, it is a little bit on the rundown side, but it has absolutely stunning and well maintained grounds, which I highly recommend taking the time to explore. The House is unique and has a lot of potential. Staff was quite helpful and our room was very clean. It’s definitely off the beaten path so expect to walk a little bit for a bus stop or pre-reschedule a taxi. Do not rely on Uber on the island. So make sure to plan ahead and decide where you want to have meals. Breakfast at the property is good, but there is not an on-site restaurant in no room service. You need to make sure that you are selecting a restaurant in town and booking a table."
