"I found this to be a traditional Chambre d'Hôte, where you don't feel you are in a hotel but rather a guest in the house of the owners. My room was comfortable and quiet, the breakfasts were very good, and the hosts were welcoming. What more do you need? The house is about a 10-minute walk from Gaillac across the river. It is also a fairly short drive into Albi, which is a small city that is well worth exploring."

"Great location, across from Toulouse Matabiau train station. Walking distance to Old Town, vibrant neighborhood, great restaurants on Boulevard de Strasbourg, shops and mini markets. Would stay here again. Our bedroom with 2 twin beds was comfortable and spacious."

"Great hotel in a really convenient location right in the centre of Toulouse. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a good size and well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, toiletries (although no shower cap but fortunately I had one with me that I had acquired at another hotel!), air conditioning and bottled water replenished every day. The bed was big and comfy. The bathroom was spacious with a huge shower cubicle. There was plenty of choice at breakfast with cereals, yogurts, fruit, cold meats and cheeses, bread pastries, tea, coffee and fruit juices including freshly squeezed orange juice. Enjoyed our stay at The Grand Balcon and would happily recommend."

"A very pleasant hotel in a convenient location. Hotel de France is mid-range hotel. It is not a dentless, new property, but it was immaculately clean and had a bright and cheerful character. It had a great location near Capitole centre, but still not too far from the train station. The staff were very helpful and friendly, The breakfast was good. The best and unexpected bonuses - a small lift and air conditioning in my room! What pleasant surprises for a hotel in France in this price range. I would highly recommend a stay here."
