We had a pleasant stay at Rex Hotel Residence and wished we could’ve stayed longer! It’s an old-school hotel where you leave the key at the front desk rather than take it out with you, unless you’re returning after midnight. The hotel offered a a discount for the restaurant next door, which we made use of, and there’s a Carrefour Express right under the restaurant for your convenience. The room had a little kitchenette with a microwave and hot plate, which was awesome for cooking ourselves a light breakfast and/or making tea. 3 beaches are walking distance from the hotel: Boccadasse, Vernazzola, and Sturla, so the location was perfect for us.

A great base for visiting Genova.

We stayed 5 nights whilst visiting Genova and the surrounding area. We made use of the secure car parking offered. The reception staff were all wonderful, very polite and helpful. The hotel is a short walk from the bus stop into town and also the sea front. We were able to cook dinner and heat water for hot drinks. You do need to provide your own washing up liquid and sponge. We can recommend a visit to Camogli as a fantastic fishing village about 30 minutes drive away. You can get the train to La Spezia from Genova Sturla station, about 20 minutes walk. It wasn't brilliant weather but we did enjoy sitting on the roof terrace a bit, too.

Nice Cozy Hotel in Albaro

Nice, small and quiet Hotel. I like to stay in Albaro area in Genova and this is the best Hotel there. Walking distance from the beach and nice restaurants.

Il personale dell'hotel mi ha chiamata per sapere di preciso a che ora sarei arrivata, per assicurarsi che fosse tutto OK. Il personale alla reception, sia in fase di check-in che check-out, è stato cordialissimo. L'Hotel non fornisce la colazione, ma il Bar AL BAR là vicino ha colazione convenzionata al prezzo di 3 euro. Parcheggio interno, a pagamento. Comodo per posizione rispetto a Corso Italia.

Bra hotell nära Boccadasse.

Vi bokade hotellet baserat på närheten till Boccadasse som vi tyckte såg ut som ett otroligt charmigt ställe. Det låg bra till, knappt 5 minuters promenad från stranden. Goda bussförbindelser in till gamla stan (ca 10-15 min). En biljett kostade 1,5 €. Hotellet höll en något äldre standard men var fräscht och välstädat. I vårt rum fanns ett pentrykök med de redskap som behövs för att laga enklare mat vid behov. Diskning ingick dock inte i städningen av rummet. Rymligt kylskåp. Personalen var väldigt trevliga och hjälpsamma, och dom hjälpte oss med förslag på aktiviteter och tips på bussar och tåg och allt annat vi behövde veta. Duschen var lite trång att ta sig i och ur, men fungerade bra. AC fungerade bra och var placerad i stora sovrummet. Vi hade en till mindre säng i ”köket” så den som sover där sover nog inte lika svalt. Sängen var rymlig, om än något hård. Dessutom bäddad med ett stort dubbeltäcke istället för två vanliga. Hotellet hade en trevlig takterrass där vi ofta avslutade våra kvällar. I absoluta närheten av hotellet fanns både restauranger och supermarket, och det var relativt lugnt på gatan även om trafiken hördes emellanåt. Vårt rum hade fönster mot baksidan. Allt som allt ett mycket bra hotell i bra läge och vi är mycket nöjda med vårt besök.

Das Hotel hat eine super Lage! Keine fünf Minuten bis zum Strand und ebenso schnell bis zur Promenade. Außerdem gibt es direkt nebenan einen Supermarkt mit allem, was man zum Leben braucht und direkt daneben eine super Pizzeria! Das Personal ist auch sehr freundlich und die Zimmer sind schön groß und sehr sauber. Wir haben eine Nacht verlängert, weil es uns dort so gut gefiel. Ich würde das Hotel definitiv jederzeit wieder buchen!

Très bonne situation, le quartier est sympathique. A 15 min du centre ville en bus (en bas de l'hôtel), des restaurants de qualité en bord de mer à 200-300m.
