"The hotel itself was beautiful but unfortunately I fell in the shower for the 1st time in my life due to the poorly designed shower which allows water to spray outside of the shower. In a room with 2 queen beds and sleeps 4 you are provided with 4 bath towel sets and 1 small bath mat which is also not much thicker than a regular towel made of cotton. The shower stall itself only has a half of a glass wall which definitely does not stop the spraying of water outside of the shower. There are no anti slip mats/strips or signs warning you that water will in fact spray all over the floor soaking the only one bath mat provided. There absolutely needs to be some sort of anti slip mat or coated strip to prevent anymore falls. I’m also extremely disappointed and concerned why an incident report or even a statement wasn’t taken from me by the manager. I was instructed by the manager that it was against corporate policy and to send my information through the managers email which I did. I also was given an assistant managers phone number as well has a hospitality phone number which I left. I really hope management contacts me very soon to address this concern. "

"My experience at Travelodge was unacceptable from both a cleanliness and safety standpoint. Upon arrival, there was confusion locating my reservation. The room was unsanitary, with hair in the bathtub. They moved me to a different room with a strong smoke odor. Then cigarette smoke started coming through the bathroom vent, they did nothing for me. In the common areas, there was an active ceiling leak with no warning signage, along with unmarked, unsecured scaffolding accessible to guests—both clear safety hazards. The pool and hot tub were also locked during posted operating hours. The lobby was unheated and very cold. The staff was not welcoming at all. During my stay, I was confronted by the owner’s dog, which aggressively cornered me and barked, creating an unsafe environment. I was scared the dog was going to bite me. They did not apologize or say anything, she just got the dog behind the front desk. When I requested to check out early due to these issues, I was told it was up to Expedia. This was inaccurate, as the decision ultimately rested with the hotel. The owner refused to allow me to check out early without being charged for both nights. After a miserable night’s sleep, I left the next morning, paying for a second night I did not stay, and had to book and pay for another hotel an elsewhere. Overall, this property is not being maintained to a safe or acceptable standard for guests. It should not be open or allowed to house the public."
