"No words to describe this place and the people that runs it. Everything was perfect, the scenery, the food, the atmosphere...but most of all the feeling that you've been treated like family. Marco and Eleonora are simply the best one could ask: attentive, professional , caring. Me and my daughter were treated like one of their own and that feeling says more than a million words. "Really lovely hotel ideally placed for the Marina, the aquarium, and the mediaeval town. Nowhere was too far to walk. It was also incredibly calm away from the hustle and bustle."

"An absolute gem! Without a doubt. Perfect location right across from the train station yet very close to centro storico and restaurants nearby. The hotel also has an excellent restaurant on the first floor serving local specialities. The service and food was excellent. The staff everywhere from the front office to the restaurant to house keeping were superb. We asked house keeping three times for service on restocking the minibar, change of pillows(they have a pillow menu too). All their prices are reasonable and offer more value for money. We opted for the gold package which includes breakfast, parking, minibar (soft drinks), and a 10% discount on all F&B purchases incl the bar and restaurants. The rooms were very clean spacious and comfortable. So were the beds and soundproofing. The Starhotel President will definitely be the hotel for us for any future visit!"

"I'm traveling to Italian 6 cities in three weeks and the Melià has been an absolute highlight. The staff is friendly, helpful and attentive. The room was perfect and we had a lovely balcony overlooking Genoa. It was conveniently located, so we could walk to the Piazza (and opera house!), Antico Port, shopping areas and we were 2 minutes from the church where Christopher Columbus was baptized. HIGHLY RECOMMEND that property for your stay in Genoa, one of Italy's underrated gems."
