"The room was clean but the grounds were not. The male receptionist was sassy and short. There was a sizable bear on the property every day of our stay. "

"The Gillette Motel is a wonderful place to stay, we stayed in room 102 - ground floor, very nice renovated room, at no fault of the motel, the garbage people come to collect the rubbish and the large dumpster is just right outside of the room. They collect at 4:30, every morning. Parking is free and very easy, as you can park right in front of your room if you are ground level. Location is wonderful as it is just a block from the main street. The staff is very friendly, while no breakfast is available, food options are within walkable distances. The fire dept. is right behind the hotel, but no worries, they don't hit the sirens until they reach the street. Very safe location. Rooms have a fridge and microwave."

"Brookside was a nice place. It could use some updating, however. I rented two rooms. Pros - Rooms are spacious. The location is quiet and peaceful. Kitchenette has sink, refrigerator, and microwave. (No cutlery, dishes etc. provided. The bathroom is good. I especially liked the sinks. Cons - The lighting in the room was weak. No central ceiling light and lamps were not very bright. Rooms did not have the same amount of lighting. Beds need new mattresses. The furniture was different in the rooms. One had a couch and no chair. The other had a chair and no couch. One had two chairs at the peninsula. The other had one. All of these chairs needed some repair to the backs. It appears that when furniture is broken it is removed and not replaced."
