Close to the Sea of Galilee

Our family of four were looking for an authentic Israeli experience near the Sea of Galilee. Our hosts, Carmel and Benny, were friendly and gracious. We arranged with Carmel to prepare our delicious breakfasts and dinners for a reasonable fee. They have an amazing organic hydroponic garden, which we toured. This is not a typical fancy hotel, and Carmel washed and folded our laundry. We were very happy that we were able to enjoy our time here. One evening we spent playing ping pong; another was spent relaxing on the front porch petting the cats. During the day we toured the historical sites around the Sea of Galilee and also drove up to Tel Dan. We warmly recommend this hotel, especially for families willing to experience an authentic taste of Israel. This hotel is slightly off the beaten path, so we recommend having a car.

Our hostess was extremely helpful and kind. She met us with a full pitcher of ice cold lemonade when we hiked into town. We had a wonderful stay for two nights in the middle of hiking the Jesus Trail (from Nazareth to Capernaum). Moshav Arbel is right along the trail, so this was a very convenient location. The village is quaint and quiet. The accommodations were perfect for our needs--we especially enjoyed the indoor swimming pool. It was so nice to cool off and relax (and get out of the sun) in the pool after a hot, tiring hike! I cannot say enough nice things about our hostess! She went above and beyond for us in order to make sure that we were comfortable and all of our needs were met. Highly recommend!
