"I booked a room for my parents to stay. A spill in the room was reported on day1 and no one came to clean it the next day as well. Breakfast was also not great and in general the staff were too laid back to pay attention to any request. My parents decided to vacate the room the next day formally, forgoing night stay for day2. Hotel owner called on day3 to my father to see if they vacated the room which is a bizarre question and offered no apologies. I would not recommend for people to stay here, unless hotel has sorted out its way of operations."

"This gem of a hotel has history and yet it is incredibly efficient, personable, professional and lovely. Located close enough to the old town, shopping and not too far from going to their sister property, the Taj Falukama Palace for a meal or high tea (which we did). The lobby is elegant, grounds are lovely, the bed comfy and the breakfast buffet will also cook whatever you like. All the staff are terrific, Chef Pradeep and the others great. The Indian food superb and the Italian and Chinese restaurants excellent too. Highly recommend."
