Futaleufú
10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (1)
"The Uman Lodge is a unique place in Patagonia. It was built on a cliff facing great mountains and over the Futalelfu river, that shows splendorous from any room in the hotel. Rooms are spacious, all made of local woods, with a very attractive architecture. Food was outstanding and the spa included sauna, hot tub, indoor and outside panoramic pools. Highly recomendable and 8 minutes drive from town. Manu trekings, mountain bike roads and the best river beach I’ve seen around"

Learn more about Futaleufú

World-class whitewater rafting on the turquoise Futaleufú River draws adventure seekers to this charming mountain town. Hike nearby trails in Pumalín Douglas Tompkins National Park for spectacular views of snow-capped Andes peaks and pristine forests.

Heading to Futaleufú after quite an eventful border crossing (Argentina -> Chile).
The 8pm light reminded me of Nordic summers and Doggy, who accompanied us for 2 km - until he caught a hare -, seemed sent by someone to guide and protect us.

P.S. Here's the full story of our rollercoasterish Patagonian summer day (in Romanian)--
