From Calle Real, you can follow a number of narrow streets that will lead you to Barribarto, the Moorish quarter. Be sure to check out the adarves, beautiful ramparts to the houses that don’t have a direct entrance from the street. One example is Zacatín, the most emblematic of the streets.
Another of the most interesting places is Callejón del Peñón, or the alley of the rock. Follow the upward slope to reach the top of the hill and take in some wonderful views of the whole town, and even the coast of Nerja. Another one to visit is Callejón del Inquisidor, alley of the inquisitor, a very narrow street leading to an area with colourful doors and balconies.
