"This was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The bathroom had what appeared to be blood smeared across the door, there were yellow droplets on the ceiling that might have been mold, the backsplash hadn't been cleaned in several guests by the amount of toothpaste splatter. The room itself was ok, except for the dead bugs by the window, peeling paint chips all over the floor. When we went up to the restaurant to try to have lunch, we were told by 2 different staff the food would take at least 45 minutes to come out as a deterrent for us to stay. So we never tried the restaurant, the front desk never had anyone at it. Oh and the location, right in the middle of the worst part of Duluth, and the contact high you get from all the pot being smoked in the parking area was also not great! This was probably a beautiful hotel 30 years ago, but it doesn't appear to have been updated in at least that long."

"Great spot. Lots of walkable shops and restaurants. The weekend we stayed so did about 2 public schools students. The hotel staff kept up with them, kept the property clean and stocked. Pools are awesome!!"
