"We stayed one night at Tante Arlette and got a warm welcome and a drink. We had booked a superior room, but were a bit disappointed that it had no external window. The cleaning was also not perfect and there were spots on the madrass. Otherwise the room was ok. We decided to eat at the hotel but were surprised when the food arrived before we had selected from the menu. Apparently what we would eat was decided for us. That said, it tasted great. "The staff make this hotel. They are wonderful, polite, engaging and charming. Nothing is too much effort. The beach is stunning and empty and without any hawkers which makes it totally safe to leave your bag by your lounger whilst you swim etc. "

"Nice property but the rooms with a garden view are not quiet at all. You can hear cars from the road nearby and we could hear our noisy neighbours as if they were actually in our room sometimes. Except from these inconveniences, our stay was really great, the hotel is really well located and offers a great swimming pool (which was a little bit cold) and a great beach restaurant. The staff was over friendly and ready to help us anytime we needed."

"To be clear, I base this on the north american standards I am used to. The front desk staff was not very welcoming or friendly, however check in was fairly quick. The code for the internet was posted on a sign at the front desk and when i asked about it, he said to take a picture. The internet only worked in the lobby or the bar...not in the rooms. We went to order a pizza and were told we cant place a call from our room. They did dial the number from the front desk for us. The pool and outside bar area were lovely!! Nice to sit up there and have a drink in the warm air. There is a $46 charge on my credit card (on top of the room charge) that might be some sort of tourist tax??? I have no clue as it was not explained. The room was clean and functional and we were only there one night so it suited our needs. It is dated and felt cramped, but we did have a small table and chairs that we appreciated. I felt the price we paid was too high for what we got, but again, used to hotels in Canada and the US."
