Hotels with Swimming Pool in French Quarter, New Orleans

"Perfect location"

"A beautiful old building that’s in great condition. The breakfast is tasty and looks high quality. Grasshoppers at the O’Bar are phenomenal. The pool is a nice and relaxing space and there are plenty of pool towels to just grab. One downside was a largish deposit ($80 per night) at the beginning of the stay and extra charges to be billed at the end of the stay which account for wifi, water in your room, water and coffee in the lobby, and entertainment in the bar. You also get a $20 credit for the bar. You have to charge drinks to the room in order to get your credit. You are made aware of charges before you arrive at the hotel but it is difficult to work out how much they are going to be before you arrive as the information is vague (to me at least). I checked out 4 days ago and still haven’t had my final bill or deposit refunded. So I don’t know what it has cost me just yet. Not sure know if this is an Expedia issue or perhaps a USA issue. I would prefer to be charged everything when I pay for the hotel and not have to pay more when I arrive. I could then accept a deposit more easily. For this reason it is not a 5 star experience. Perhaps when I’m a millionaire I will not care about such things."

"Our room was gross. The carpet was really old and grimey. The mirrors in the bathroom were in need of repair and or replacement. Ive never seen a shower with a wall of mirrors. Not a fan. The ceiling had rafters that had dust chandeliers, aka dusty cobwebs. The staff were friendly and helpful. But I will be staying back at this hotel. I have had cheaper hotels in better condition. And the breakfast option was severely overpriced and not good at all. Now, the bar and the bartender was excellent. "

"This hotel is long, long overdue for a renovation. Worse, the staff does not maintain very well the existing facilities and makes no real effort to optimize a bad situation. Check-in at the lobby was good with very helpful staff, which gave me an excellent first impression. Once in the room, it went downhill fast, and we began to notice the rundown atmosphere of the worn-out rooms and the common areas. Even the courtyard, which looked terrific on internet photos, has seen the better days with the obvious example of the large rust stain at the bottom of the pool (very unappealing, so we kept our bathing suits in the suitcase). If this property wants to maintain its location on the edge of the French Quarter, it needs to re-invent itself; otherwise, it needs to cut its prices in half, minimally."

"Never enjoyed the bar, everything was wonderful, my only set delima is I was told I would receive my deposit back in a couple days and it has been 10 days, can someone please notify me or rectify the issue, 🙏 thanks "
