"The pictures were way different - This is definitely one hotel needs maintenance. I rate it as 2 stars instead of 4. We waited 2 hrs to check in due to rooms were not ready.. For the breakfast it was always the same no good selection and always 1 hr late to start. WiFi not good at all. The bathroom smells sewage. A/C are not reliable as well. "
"Great hotel in Central Lusaka, half an hour from the airport (600 kwachi cab ride). Feels upscale. Good food in the restaurants and breakfast buffet. "The single worst hotel experience of my time in Africa: I asked the hotel if I was settled with my bill when I was checking out. They said yes: I needed to pay with credit card since I have no local currency.
Almost half an hour after dropping me off at the airport, the driver showed up & refused to let me go through security: he didn't have any paperwork, balance or a credit card machine & started harassing me loudly and embarrassingly all around the airport for a balance for the shuttle. He even threatened to have me arrested.
My pleas to put it in writing, have a manager email me or send a credit card link were all ignored. He was rude, obnoxious & I would recommend no one ever stay at this lodge that clearly knows nothing about customer service or training their staff on how to behave.
Not to mention, the airport transfer itself was terrible: not a 4x4, but a dinky car with very rough gravel roads. To be chased around & yelled at around the airport for a supposed balance of USD$72 for that ride also seemed incredibly high and a rip off. "
