My wife and I had a really wonderful stay. The BnB is extremely charming and well maintained. It offers a wonderful panoramic view of the Hill Country and is great location if you are looking for some quiet and solitude. The drive into Fredericksburg is a very easy and a straight shot. I loved this place and will definitely book again!

The room was perfect and clean. And staff was great, very quick to respond to any questions and needs. The property was beautiful, very quiet. Very relaxing. Only thing I'd say that would be something to improve the bed mattress overly soft and like you would sink lower so maybe a newer better mattress or box spring, it's not that it was super uncomfortable because it wasn't slept good second night but maybe a better mattress but all over we loved it and hopefully we will be back. It was a getaway for our 34th anniversary.

Breakfast was delicious with healthy options. Rose Hill was a great place to stay. It was gloriously quiet while Fredericksburg was noisy. The balcony was wonderful for sunrises and sunsets, a great place to start up and unwind.

The good- the property is beautiful, and the cabins are private, spacious and well planned, (although designed traditionally and somewhat fussy by modern standards). The breakfast area was lovely, and I appreciated the availability of soft drinks, tea, cold water and fruit throughout the day. I thought the location was fantastic, a mere twelve minutes or so outside of town and right by most of the wineries. I appreciated that the grounds were pristine, and the room was appointed well, offering locally made lavender scented soaps, shampoo and conditioner. The bad – communication was severely lacking. I have food allergies and celiac disease, so emailed in advance to notify them. Once, about ten days in advance, then again three days before, to which I received no response. When I called the day before my arrival, the response was that, yes they had gotten my emails. There was no apology offered for the non-response. We arrived at 5 PM on Saturday to find no one at the front desk. We later understood that there is never anyone at the front desk, and that the expectation is that you communicate before arrival to receive instructions. When I called at my arrival, no one answered the phone until I called again. I had spoken to the same woman the day before on the phone about my allergies and would have appreciated instructions at that time. There was a small issue of damp in our cabin as well. Ultimately, we would absolutely return, but hope the small issues are fixed!

We stayed in the Sunset room which was absolutely beautiful! The bed was so comfy and the breakfast was great. The property was so pretty we decided one day just to hang out there. Beautiful place to get away!
