"The room was very clean and the coffee is great. I couldn't get on their wifi but other than that it was excellent. I love this place. Quiet and homey."
"Appears that hotel is being remodeled — furnishings were sparse and room was bare. No pool (under construction) and no gym. Only one person on duty (or anywhere in hotel) during checkin on Friday evening. Not her fault, but wait was about 20 minutes due to a lot of people arriving at once (2 sets of checkins before me and many more crowded into the lobby after I arrived) — check in person apparently must ask everyone if they want to join the hotel program so that added 5 minutes more to each check in and I was so tired from the long drive it felt like it took hours to explain to each person how to join, the benefits they'd get, and their email address. Really? Can someone give front desk clerk the authority to skip that step when it is clear that there are at least five separate groups waiting to check in after the person currently being served? It really was frustrating. But again, not her fault and she was trying her best. Shower fixture was hard to use. Breakfast helper was great — she continuously was cleaning off tables and keeping the buffet clear and orderly — couldn't have been more conscientious about doing a good job."
"Did not like that the hand basin was outside the bathroom, inconvenient, after using the washroom, had to come out to wash hands…disturbing the sleeping partner."
"We arrived in the early evening for a tennis tournament and no one was at the front desk. When someone finally came, they said we owed 70 more dollars directly to the hotel beyond the already paid amount on Expedia for added tax as we were staying two nights ( this despite Expedia saying we were paid in full). This was in ADDITION to paying over 350 a night for what turned out to be a smelly, tiny sunken room with only one small window... to a hallway with a loud ice machine, oh and I almost forgot the very lumpy, bumpy bed. When we had to leave abruptly the next morning due to a medical emergency and didn't stay the second night, they promised they would refund the $70 two night tax we were required to pay on our arrival but never kept their word. I recommend saving your money and staying at a motel for $ 80 a night for better comfort and service."
