Well located hotel. Neighborhood is OK but a few abandoned buildings right around the hotel. There was an issue with the elevators. 2 out 3 were out of service so the wait was sometimes long and the elevator was crowded. Nice, large and functional rooms. Breakfast was excellent.

I liked everything about the Scandic Hotel in Frankfurt. From the location; its proximity to the train station yet in a quiet neighborhood close to the river walk and dozens of museums and within walking distance to old town and major tourist attractions. The room was spacious with a modern decor and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was great with many options to accommodate various dietary needs and mostly organic (if not all) organic food.

During the checkout, no one was behind the counter. During check-in the staff seemed friendly and explained everything so fast that I couldn't remember everything. Every morning during breakfast, I'd look over at the check-in counter to see if anyone would say either Good morning or Hello, but they were busy on their individual mobile devices. A skinny/slender girl appeared to have either a bad start to the morning or maybe she's just unhappy...either way, not a good career if you don't like your job in hospitality.

The entire staff was very helpful and did everything they could to make us comfortable. Most of the staff is bi lingual so English speaking guests will have no communication problems. The breakfast buffet is amazing featuring both European and American fare. The only bad thing I could say was the air conditioning was not up to the task. During our stay there was record heat so its understandable. I highly recommend this hotel.
