"Breakfast could be better - don’t like new breakfast area - uncomfortable - tables & chairs are betee"

"The room had newer furniture and an updated bathroom but was generally unclean. Room smelled bad and the couch in the suite was soaked with a dirty spill that had not been cleaned. Staff offered cleaner for us to clean the room ourselves. We felt uncomfortable being in the room without shoes. The location was convenient and felt safe. Don't expect much for breakfast. "

"What an intriguing town and the Elk River Hotel is definitely the place to stay in Sutton. Emily is a native and warm and welcoming and Francisco is a joy. Don't miss his delicious Latin breakfast which is included in the price. The website could use updating. The restaurant at the hotel is closed, though there is a weekend bar, and a good place to eat in town is the Braxton Bistro. The hotel is situated directly on the Elk River in a beautiful spot. Try the glamping unless you have dog. By the way, the real Flatlands Monster isn't an alien, but the railroad tie plant in town."

"This is an older property that needs some me grades…room door had huge space between door and casing letting light in…I like a dark room. Everything was clean. Breakfast was more than adequate and woman working there was very friendly. Front girl was friendly and efficient. Price was good, other than issue with door I think I’d stay again"
