"We book the hotel on the same day and when we arrived, no one was there. We kept calling a phone number and after many attempts someone responded and came later. We had to wait by the road after the whole day of driving. It didn't feel like arriving to 4stars hotel but a not well organised B@B. Initially, they gave us a room without a sea view, that we booked and the hotel was empty. Also, provided with an only key/card. The breakfast was outside of hotel in a bar. "We arrived to a perfect welcome from David who was doing the afternoon shift on front desk. This first impression lasted and everyone was really helpful and patient with our lack of Italian language. Tastily renovated restaurant provided good breakfasts and wonderful dinners that were amazing value. Good advice on local wines and tips on places to visit and Olive oil tasting experience. "Overall a great place"

"A four generation property where you are made to feel like family. Such a cozy homey property. Guests are encouraged to walk through the farm to visit the farm animals and taste the fruits. Breakfast is plentiful with fresh ricotta made in house figs from the trees on the property and freshly made preserves and juices. The olive oil is sublime. A bottle is left on every table at dinner and is drizzled onto a plate for guests to dip the freshly baked assorted breads that show up every evening at dinner service. The cuisine is local and simple yet tasty and unpretentious. Reminding me of my mothers food. I can’t say enough about Masseria Salinola. If you can go, you should go. Thank you Daniele and all the staff for treating us so well. We will return. "

Double room was small and pokey en-suite was not very private, old style safe - would chose a better room next time"
