Swan nesting on Kionslieu Reservoir The reservoir was originally built to provide water for the waterwheels at the Foxdale Mines. The water appears blue to the right of the photo: in fact, this is a thin layer of ice.

The room and hotel is very tired and in need of a great deal of updating and redecoration. The housekeeping didn’t happen on any of the days stayed there despite asking for it at reception.
