"While the hotel itself is conveniently located to NYC and Northern NJ walking distance from commercial areas in Fort Lee, NJ with onsite parking available (for a cost or free, depending on Rate type and Marriott Bonvoy® Status) the upper floor is still under renovations in Mid-June 2026 (Stay June 19-21) with construction noise starting at 7:30 AM and quite notable in first floor guest rooms located in the Atrium/Courtyard section. There is absolutely NO mention on the Marriott Website, Bonvoy® App or partner reservation options like Expedia regarding the possible inconvenience which is NOT optimal for a late night/early morning arrival (12:30 AM) with expectations of sleeping-in the next morning. We unexpected woke to the sound of impact drills, hammering and other noise at 7:3 AM on Friday morning.
Aside from that, the hotel renovation favors a modern "austere" minimalist room design that leverages prior desk and headboards for the renovated furniture options that feature ONE single drawer located under the shelf for the ice bucket and glasses to house the Gideon's Bible and possibly a handful of undergarments or personal effects. Gone are traditional nightstands with drawers (replaced by two floating shelves and elongated lighting that provides a bright nightlight option in addition to possible reading light) and/or any additional drawers anywhere in the room.
Towel hooks, bars or anywhere to hang a wet towel in the bathroom or room are also a lost amenitiy.
