"While the room itself was impressive, the overall experience was significantly impacted by poor service and miscommunication. Upon arrival, I noticed coffee grounds had been left in the coffee maker. Throughout my weeklong stay, obtaining essential amenities like extra towels and toilet paper from the staff proved challenging. Despite these issues, I still intended to leave a five star review due to an accommodating gesture by the front desk. Because my schedule changed, I requested a late checkout rather than booking an additional night. The attendant graciously approved a 2:00 PM checkout instead of the standard 11:00 AM. However, at 11:00 AM, staff demanded that we vacate the room, stating that late checkouts are reserved exclusively for loyalty members. This sudden reversal created an incredibly stressful situation, forcing me to scramble for alternative accommodations at the last minute. If a late checkout was not permitted, it should not have been offered in the first place. Due to this lack of professionalism and consistency, I will not be staying at this location again."

"Experience at Tru Hotel To Whom It May Concern, I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the experience I had during my recent stay at Tru Hotel. Upon entering my room, I found the cleanliness conditions unacceptable. The bed had a strong unpleasant odor, and it was evident that the sheets and bedding had not been properly changed before my arrival. This situation caused significant discomfort and raised serious concerns about the hotel’s hygiene and quality standards. As a frequent traveler to Indiana, I regularly stay in hotels and expect at least a basic level of cleanliness and comfort. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet those standards and has significantly affected my perception of the Tru brand. Due to this experience, I do not plan to stay at a Tru Hotel again. I hope the necessary corrective actions will be taken to ensure that other guests do not encounter similar issues. I would appreciate a response and an explanation of the measures that will be implemented to address this matter."

"This is a nice property for the value. The Kickback and the pool were a disaster with screaming children and parents not paying attention so I could not relax and enjoy the amenities as they were intended. Need a larger seating area also. Doubtful I'll be back after this experience"

"Front desk lady was very rude at checkin . Made me and my other guest both show our IDs because it’s “her hotel and she needs to know who’s staying here”… Which it was never an issue to show both until she threatened to cancel our reservation once i told her we’ll be back shortly with the other ID .Never asked any other guests that were checking in for everyone’s ID when they had multiple other adults with them.. Upstairs hallway was stinky and humid . Beds were thin and uncomfortable. stained sheets. overall the hotel itself was decent considering it being near a variety of things. nothing to offer besides a gym . no breakfast . very pitiful hotel . wouldn’t waste another dollar to stay at this hotel ."

"The property was clean as well as the room. Not a lot of furniture. The room I stayed in had two Queen beds, a small table, Desk and Chair that incorporated a small Refrigerator and Microwave that allowed a Large Screen TV to sit on top. That's was it. All the lights were built into the ceiling with the exception a massive led lit Mirror behind the sink. No closet space to hang clothes or luggage stand. Parking was right at the door unless you were on the second floor and not sure of an elevator. At check in, I had to wait a few minutes, after pressing the button, for someone to come to the window. Had that not worked, there was a phone number listed to call. I had booked the stay online and paid with my credit card. I still had to pay a $75.00 charge/deposit for my stay. I was told the deposit would go back on my card once I checked out and there was no damage done in the room. I didn't like having to ask for a receipt for my deposit and when I checked out.
