Florida Gulf Coast hotel rooms a the Highgate Independent

" No TV service available, air conditioner was on full speed 60 degree room and the door rattled from it , turned it down and then did not work. Walls thin we could hear people yelling and swearing outside. Stayed before flying out in the morning did not get much sleep. "

"Girl at the front desk was friendly. We canceled our reservation for this establishment minutes after walking in. The room was slowly falling apart. The tiles in the shower were flaking apart,the tub fixtures were rusty and outdated, the texturing on the ceiling was flakey. Theres a sign posted that if you take your breakfast items to your room to eat, they will charge you. Which doesn't make sense, because where would i sit to eat if the few tables they have were filled. This place would be a " quick nights rest" type situation, not for family stays or longer stays. "

"So glad I found this place-convenient to the beaches and great buffet for breakfast. Dining area is part of the bar so on the weekends it can get pretty loud."
