The place was clean, close to restaurants. It was on the ground floor which was a plus. Easy to contact and was able to checkin with ease even after some delays with our trip. Walking distance to all the tourist spots especially ponte vecchio.

This is not the property for you if you have accessibility issues. Or if you like everything neat and tidy, consistent and predictable. This apartment has been converted out of the stables of a 15th Century Town Palace, this means walls in odd places, different floor heights, tight spiral staircase, and old plaster painted over, there is not a lot of natural light, I think this is what most bad reviewers pick up on, so if you like big natural windows and views you will not find them here. However. It has quirk and charm, it's spacious and the meet service is very good. The location is great, just a stroll away from the Pitti palace. Hundreds of proper restaurants (rather than tourist ones). Piazzas, specialist shops, and 10 minutes walk from the Ponte Vecchio. And a spectacular wine shop next door. It is good value for money. The only thing I would say is that the bathrooms are small and in need of a refit. However, I do appreciate that with the age and structure of the building there is nowhere else the can reasonably go and there is no room for any other layout. The bathrooms are not pretty, but they do their job. Some reviews say noisy, but it is not noisy - it is just in the middle of a city, for a city apartment it is in a quiet street and not noisy at all. Everything you want in Florence is within a 20 minute walk.

Don’t book before reading!

I consider myself a very fair person and I focus on the goods more than the bads. This stay made that incredibly difficult. Goods are location…which is great, and it’s cool to stay in a 400+ year old piece of history. The bads are that it’s a 400+ year old building with little air flow, and a disintegrating brick wall that fills the rooms with centuries of dust and mold. The entire place smells of must, which is prevalent the moment you step in the door. I’d cough and sneeze until I was outside again and there was no way to fix this. The apartment has 2 floors with 3 different sleeping areas, which would make this place seem like an adventurous addition to the trip, but the dust and musty smell was everywhere and there was no safe space. And to top it off the beds are extremely uncomfortable with springs poking into your back. We had booked for 3 nights and after the first night we reached out to the property management and they said “sorry, you booked a nonrefundable” and then all communication stopped. We had to find a new hotel and doubled the price of our stay having both places. Even explaining that the bedroom and bathrooms have black mold made no difference to management. I feel bad that my review may hurt a home owner, but these issues need to be corrected and they need a new management company who will assist and not damage the owner further. Being fair…don’t stay here. It’s not healthy.
