"This is our favourite hotel we have ever stayed in. We stayed when they first opened and loved it so much we planned a trip specifically so we could stay here again. We will definitely be returning. Highly recommend. It’s in a great location, clean, amazing breakfast with a warm welcoming staff. What more could you ask for?"
Embassy Suites by Hilton Detroit Troy Auburn Hills
4/10 Poor
"Positives : Room was clean. Given a drink voucher and two waters.
Negatives : Money was deducted from my deposit, for unknown reasons. Staff could benefit from some professionalism. There was an extended wait while checking in holding our luggage. However there was a female staff member just standing at the desk stating at the customers that waited, I later learned she was apart of hospitality. In addition, when a concern was voiced, staff responded as if it wasn’t at the top of their priority list. “Oh I have to grab this luggage cart right now, it’s hard to monitor those kind of things”. Pool was PACKED, staff was as aware so obviously room capacities weren't being monitored. Lastly, the power went out for 5 hours. I do understand that Things happen, however the lack of Preventive measures like a back up generator or something given for the inconvenience could’ve went a long way. Due to this I’ll never book the Embassy Chain ever again, especially this location! As a Hilton rewards member, I expected much better, highly disappointed. "
"I recently had a wonderful stay at Royal Park Hotel and was genuinely impressed from start to finish. The property has a refined, boutique feel with elegant décor, warm wood accents, and a welcoming atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. The rooms were spacious, beautifully appointed, and extremely comfortable, with thoughtful touches that made the stay feel both luxurious and relaxing.
Service throughout the hotel was outstanding. The staff was attentive, professional, and consistently friendly, always willing to help with recommendations or special requests. The location is also excellent, set along the Clinton River and within easy walking distance to downtown Rochester’s shops and restaurants, which added a lot of charm to the experience.
Overall, the Royal Park Hotel delivers a perfect balance of sophistication and comfort. It’s an ideal choice for both leisure and business travelers looking for a polished, peaceful stay with exceptional service. I would absolutely return and highly recommend it.
